What to Expect Sunday Mornings
Those who have seen First Pres while driving down Euclid tend to ask: “Where is the parking?” We actually have plenty, but it’s behind the church off 11th street. Once you park, walk toward the middle of our building complex and you’ll be greeted and directed wherever you might like to go.
Traditional Worship
9:00am—Our traditional service meets in the sanctuary. People dress in suits, sportcoats, or business casual style. Pastors and choir lead this service, driven by organ-accompanied hymns, and often augmented by guest musicians from area colleges and other music organizations. The service adheres to the principles of the reformed theological tradition and runs 55 minutes long.
Coffee & Sunday School
After worship there is coffee on the patio, where you can get to know some of your fellow worshipers. When the bell rings (10:08am) it is time for Sunday School participants to make their way to classes (10:10-10:50am). At 10:50, the bell rings again indicating ten minutes until the contemporary service.
Contemporary Service
11:00am—Our contemporary service meets in the sanctuary and is driven by a full praise band. The mood is warm and casual: come as you are.
Whichever service you attend, we expect that you will experience the power, the peace, and the presence of The Lord and feel challenged to Grow in Christ and Make Him Known.
